In our Sunday morning service last week, we had a phone call directly from our Haitian sister church. We ran it through the speakers so everyone could hear. Their children's choir sang "It Is Well With My Soul" to us in the congregation. Their voices were beautiful and the words are remarkable considering the difficulties they are dealing with. Read through the words and take a moment to pray for our brothers and sisters in Haiti.
It Is Well With My Soul
When peace like a river attendeth my wayWhen sorrows like sea billows rollWhatever my lot Thou hast taught me to sayIt is well, it is well with my soul
[CHORUS:]
It is well (it is well)With my soul (with my soul)It is well, it is well with my soul
My sin O the joy of this glorious thoughtMy sin not in part but the wholeIs nailed to the cross and I bear it no morepraise the Lord, praise the Lord,O my soul
And Lord haste the dayWhen my faith shall be sightThe clouds be rolled back as a scrollThe trump shall resound andThe Lord shall descendEven so it is well with my soul
