On Sunday, February 15th, Peace Nihorimbere will
be here from Burundi to update us on the Home Care Center that ministers to the
most marginalized of women in the second poorest country in the world.
In this
program the Great Commission is drenched with Great Compassion. She will share
in church and then at a luncheon at noon, so plan to attend.
Liberia
Then on Sunday, February 22th, the Ambassador of
Liberia to the United States will be in our service to express his appreciation
for our part in the ministry of Eric Wowoh. Eric was a war refugee from age 12
to 26. Then God sent him to us, here in Lafayette, Louisiana. Hearing Eric’s
story we began a journey together. Eric’s organization, Change Agent Network
(CAN) has now built, equipped and staffed three Christian schools in Liberia
serving 3000 students and 200 employees.
Other projects have included a Computer Technology School, three
worship centers, three guesthouses, and seven houses. There will be a
Fundraising banquet at the Cajundome on Friday, February 20th, so
contact the church for tickets.
