Haiti Report, from Mark Thomas

Few things lift the spirits as singing. Especially when sung by Haitians in Creole. It will be the language of our singing in heaven.

We heard much of it today. First in church in Picot then again for a special time in La Roche au Pont. A district wide choir competition. The blancs sat on stage as ensemble after choir after quartet performed. It was like being judges for the Haitian Idol TV show. They were talented and passionate. They are in the worst of circumstances, but they also know music soothes the soul like nothing else.

Please pray with us: "Thank you God for the gift of music. When we sing we transcend Earth and her problems. Spread your love through gifted musicians around the world. Amen"
